Audio Need a Home theater below 20K

HI All,

My friend wants to buy a home theater for himself and the budget is 20k.
No specific brand,specific type/style.

Requirement is purely great sound with deep and soft bass
It will be used for Movies and music not much games....
It can either be a 5.1 or an amplifier with 2 speakers or anything..

We have seen 12'' pioneer woofers for 1500/-(looks spectacular with great finishing and Very huge magnet) each and the shop keeper told an amplifier of about 3k and two Sound boxes with the above woofers will serve the purpose.....Is it a good deal at 7k?:S

Please help me...
 
I am decided to increase the budget to 30k guys ..now suggest me one other than sony.

I have a LG DVD player(divx) so no need of a DVD with the home theater.
 
Check out Samsung's HT-X250. Though it is with DVD player. It is wireless ready, HDMI, USB host and video upscaling up to 1080i, divx. Cost Rs. 25,000. Cute looking. The demo the sales person gave me was awesome. Audio was with good thump as you wanted.
 
If you are looking for pure stereo performance, nothing will beat a wharfedale diamond 9.1/monitor audio bronze br1 + norge 2060 combo in 20k.
 
y not just go for the Logitech Z-5500 Digital Speakers as u already have a DVD player....i think it should beat the sony, samsung budget systems easilyyy as its THX certified...
