My old problematic BSNL router has at last died..

Looking for a new one that can replace it. My budget is ~Rs.2000

My old one was Huawei Quidway Wa1003a.

I need new router for the basic use only, means no streaming of music or videos and should work with BSNL BB.

Wifi should have good enough(hopefully better than huawei i had) since the router will be in ground floor and the laptops on 1st floor.

Would be an advantage if i could add a printer to it.

I have short listed few like:

1>Buffalo WHR-G300N

2>Asus WL-520gU

3>
Asus RT-N13U

Since N series(one of the laptops is "n" draft) are more than my budget i am not sure if its worth it or there some other device that will fulfill my requiremnts within my budget.

Going N with only one of the devices is N may not make much sense. N would be useful while transferring large chunks from one machine/device to another over wifi. For regular surfing/downloading "@ our Indian speeds" G is more than enough. Also mixing N and G clients on an N router has shown deteriorating results.

So my advice stick to a good solid G router. Something like a 54GL if its available dd-wrt it and make the best use of it while your N family grows. And when the N members outnumber the G ones go the N route(r) :).
