Need a new phone

i've been wanting to buy a smartphone for sometime. Now that the money has come up, i think its the right time
to get to the serious part- which one is the best.

I've been using Nokia phones my whole life and i think it may be time to move on the Samsung or someting else
However i'd like a phone with touch screen capabilities and a full QWERTY. The Nokia N900 has really taken my
fancy but i've read that nokia may stop support for its flagship Maemo OS to develop the Meego.
I dont have a problem with a 30k budget and i'm willing to use a Samsung phone,if its better than the Nokia N900
Can anyone suggest other alternatives??

Since your looking for one with a hardware keyboard. Then you should get yourself a N97mini. As it seems you are pretty unsure of what you want, and this is the first time you will be using a smart phone.

If you can skip on the touch why not look for a blackberry.

Ever tried the iPhone 3GS?

It doesn't have a physical keypad but the features and the UI might appeal to you - worth a shot if you can demo one from someone/somewhere.
