CPU/Mobo need a new rig, but the big question - intel or amd?

hi,

i am buying a new cpu which will mainly be used for gaming. i am on a tight budget (8k) for my mobo+cpu. which is better intel or amd?? will be adding a 8600 gt 256 mb ddr3 graphics card.

the most popular processor in this price range seems to be E4500. please suggest the best VFM option.

i am buying a 8600gt with the mobo and cpu.
so should i settle with the e2160+abit ip35 and a 8600 gt???

if the budget permits is it advisable to get the e4500 instead of the e2160??
