Hello All,
I need a good Wi-Fi router+modem for my internet connection. With strong signal strength to some distance, say about which should give good speeds in my 1400 square feet apartment. The current router which is given to me by MTNL sucks, as if i get out of the room where the Router is placed the signal starts breaking. And sometimes i do not even find my connection when i am in my drawing room! So guys, please suggest me a good router withing Rs.2000/- for my home purpose.

And i would also like to ask, what is the N technology about in Routers? And also will any kind of router work for my MTNL broadband?

Need a reply ASAP, need to buy it in the evening itself. Thanks.

most will work with mtnl if u know how to configure it....invest in N if u do lotza intra-networking ..... try d_link or TPlink models in this budget range.
 
The N is nothing but the wifi standard which can provide a transfer speed of 150 Mb/s theoritically (for N150) and there are other advanced N standards like N300 which provide 300 Mb/s theorticially. Apart from transfer speeds it offers better security and good range. But you should have an N supported adapter to utilise this feature else the wifi speed will operate in G mode which is 54Mb/s..
