Need a router

Hey everyone. I have been using a router for almost 6 years now (Belkin N150), and it has served its purpose well. Of late, I have been noticing that the wireless speeds are too low, and the range is dropping. I checked with ACT to see if it was their fault. The customer care rep asked me to plug in via ethernet, and I was able to get the full 40 Mbps, whereas wireless I've been getting a maximum of 2-3 Mbps. Sure, you can live with that speed, but it does get annoying after some time. So now I need another router to last me another 6 years. And I think I might need a good wireless extender also. I'm very flexible about the budget, as long as it's not above 10K. And I have a high preference for Asus routers, purely due to their outstanding customer service, and intuitive web UI. Even if they are not Asus, it's fine as long as the said router has good to excellent reviews. Thanks!
