Graphic Cards Need a Standby card!

Hey guys..

Looks like my X800XL is dying out on me. Atleast while Gaming :/.

VPU recovers happening about 1000 times while playing games. Sudden hangs, gotta minimize and come back, then its fine for 2-4 mins and then the same issue, desktop resolution changes to game reso when I minimize, then goes back to normal reso. Its like a spirit has taken over my PC. Lol.

Anyways..

I need a standby Card till I get myself a R650.. I guess thats for 2-4 months more.

Decent performance. Around a X800XL performance.

So what are my options?

7300GT? 7600GS? 7600GT?

Prices too please :/... Prefer around 5-6k not more.
 
7600 GT.....same perf.....palit and sparkle are the cheap ones....6.5 arnd i guess

oh and try reapplying thermal paste on the core and memory....mayb the card is getting hotter then it shld....
 
67C Load @ 23 Ambient. According to Everest.

After 10 mins of RTHDRIBL.

Ill try that anyways. Could be a wrong reading.

The card is 2 years old anyways. Never did apply AS5 in the start :P.
 
hmm.

If 6200TC will do send someone to my home or come to my home and get it collected. Dont waste money on standby card re, could be put to good use later.
 
Well, I applied AS5 on the Card.

The Stock paste was completely when I cleaned it up.

I ran CSS for 45mins, and it didnt hang.

Temps = 71C after 20 mins RTHDRIBL.

So I guess i wont be needing a standby card :P.
 
^You need an X850XT.. LMK. I have an X800GTO2 lying around, modded up to 16 pipes. You can borrow it, no issues.
