^^ X2 is nothing like the C2D . Except both have 2 cores .
if you have some more money to lug around go with a C2D . If money is a bother than AMD is an excellent solution since there are a very few applications that make the difference felt . High end games , etc , all applications work nicely on an AMD X2 . so dont worry . its a good choice all and all .
No idea about the mobo . but since Udit is recommending it , it should be a good deal enough . check it up on google and see if it works for you .
Afaik , the ram prices have slipped , so Value Dynet should be good enough and you should be able to mark down another thousand or so .
so that should let you go for a better processor or motherboard . i would recommend a better processor , if you dont want to OC and all . a better motherboard if you wanna OC . but a better motherboard in terms of features is also ideal . Like the Biostar motherboard . has HDMI , DVI , Svideo , Vga and OC's decently .
