Graphic Cards need a temprory card

hey guys i think iam in need of a temprorary GPU coz iam not sending my gtx 295 for RMA

well the thing is i think it is not working good so maybe they will give me a single PCB model

also i was thinking 8400GS or 9400gt

also how much is 9400gt for?

some1 told me 2900 is it a good price?

also will i be able to play games at lowest possible settings with this card for like 4-5 days?

i was thinking of getting this but if u have any more ideas tell me
 
If ur not sending 295 for RMA, what will u do with a conked out unit?

As for these small cards, it depends upon the type of games u play. 9400GT is OK but go for 9500GT.
 
if you've got enough money then get a 9800GTX & later you can dedicate your 9800 only for PhyX.
 
guys i have the money but i will be using this card for like some days

not worth going for anything expensive

any ideas on what to buy which is withing 3k

IMO wait for 15 days till you get your card back as it doesn't make sense to buy a new one.
on the other hand buy another GTX295 & put them in SLI if you've Got money to burn.
 
Can you extend your budget and get 4670. It should be around 4300 bucks now. I don't think you should buy 9400 GT. (And that too for gaming)
 
as its just for temporary use, get an HD 4350 for 2k or even less. Should serve you well for HD movies, untill the GTX 295 returns. And i dont think even a 9800GT or GTS 250 can satisfy your gaming needs as you been using a GTX 295, and most of the people cant think bout downgrading gfx details once he was used to much higher quality.

So, a 3k card wont be doin ny more good than this 2k 4350. Go for it.
 
i think u gusy are not getting me

iam just buying this card so that i can surf the net and watch movies etc on my PC

coz if i dont buy the card i cant start the computer

also will 4350 be good for gaming?

i dont care coz it wont take much time to replace my card

iam not replacing my card just buyin for normal operations like movies etc
 
4350 is the cheapest card in production nowadays. Its gr8 for such a card to play HD contents smoothly. So it should be more than enuf for you until ur card returns.

You can have movies, and surfing, everythin fine, even HD contents.
 
Hmm..should be available at ~2.5k at shops in NP then.
Amarbir is an idiot, he doesn't include VAT prices in his site and if you want to pay by CC, you are forced to pay via Paypal, which inturn costs even more.
 
Second hand 8800GT / HD 4850 in the range of 4k would be your best bet. Further you can sell later at same price.

Stay away from any DDR2 memory based card in the price range of 3k, better get a second hand 8600GT DDR3 @ 2k then sell later without any loss.
 
do you need a temporary display adapter??

Ans: Get pci display adapter..saw one at lammy the other day... costs 250-300...

do you need a temporary gfx card??

Ans: Get the cheapest one that you can afford...preferably a 2nd hand one.
 
Buy a gts 250 1gb new one for 8k and then after using it for 10 days you can sell it to me for 5k :D:D since i am seeking a new card as well .
