Would change some parts of the build like go for ryzen 5 1600 cpu or wait for ryzen 2000 series to launch next month and micro atx gigabyte gaming 3 B350 motherboard and Adata 16GB DDR4 AX4U300038G16-DGZ ram. I would also recommend getting a crucial mx500 250gb ssd from onlyssd.com and a better looking case like cooler master masterbox Q300l from primeabgb.com

Just saw this thread, when the OP is asking for a video editing rig, why is @bssunilreddy suggesting a 2400g + 1050TI?

@gurujee Hope you went with R51600 + 16 gigs of Ram (min) + SSD. These will help your video editing not the 1050TI.
thanks... yes, i went with 1600+16gb ram+250gb SSD. Also took the 1050ti. budget exceeded but happy with the performance.

Congrats on the new rig. Howevr, not sure what you would do with the 1050TI, if you arent planning to game. But a well balanced rig, could have put that money in the Ram / SSD.

I had no idea..went with it as per first rig suggestion. I won't game. Is it useless in Video Editing or do I need something higher ?

For Photo and Video Editing, the Processor & RAM are the King & Queen. But GPU acceleration allows for a significant reduction in total time to a finished output file. If 4 minute 48 second GoPro footage takes over 3 hours to output using only the system CPU. Using an GeForce GTX 1050 ti, the exact same output is complete in 120 minutes, completing the processing and output in less time.

Well it isnt as straight forward as that, depends which video editing software you use, whether it utilizes Opencl or CUDA and additionally there are certain codecs within the editing software that would leverage the GPU more effectively.

I use premier

test the ram sticks separately. if the system boots with both installed separately and both show up as 8GB then both sticks are good. Try different slots when using both ram sticks.
