Hi all,

My friend will be getting a new BSNL connection next week and wants a basic Wifi modem i.e. no constraints on coverage as the devices(laptop or mobile) will be used in close range only, max budget is Rs.2,500.

Can I go for the below one and if anyone is using the below model please kindly post your comments.
Belkin Basic Wireless Modem Router (N150)

Thanks for the quick reply mate, http://www.theitbazaar.com/store/ou...pl&product_id=551&category_id=71&keyword=asus

The only issue I have is that am not sure whether my local dealer has ASUS products.. checking with him.. Have you used this?

checked with Deltapage and he doesn't have this in stock.. price quoted 28xx to 32xx (needs to be arranged from other source)

problem is that my friend needs the device by Tuesday.. :(

The only reason i mentioned ASUS is because most of their routers, if not all, support DD-WRT. This is much better than the stock firmware, if you are not satisfied. Also this was available here in mumbai, but did not bother to check the rates, as i do not have an ADSL connection.

Currently using an ASUS RT-N13U.

Also, IMHO just wait for some more responses to come, you can make a decision then.
