I live in Delhi and will be buying from Nehru place.

It will only be used for playing games like Crysis 2, Metro, COD, BF3 and should run any upcoming games at High-definition without any problems.


Q: What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage

Gaming - 1920x1080
Desktop - 1920x1080



Q: Are you looking to overclock?

Maybe, not sure about it



Q: Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?

Windows 7 64 bit

I'm mostly eying on Intel i5 2500k & i5 3570k, GTX 680 or ATI 7970 & Maybe any good mobo from asus, gigabyte or Asrocks.

Please advice and ask me any questions if i missed anything.

btw, i envy the budget you could put together for the PC. But i can see that you are into heavy gaming and you don't have much choice to be budget conscious.
Are you, by any chance, going to hook up multiple monitors?

by the time the experts come back, you may have a look at the other threads which are very similar.

i m thinking of keeping the overclocking option open for future.

For cpu AFAIK wont a i5 2500k or i5 3570k would be sufficient for my gaming needs? Can you tell me price of I5 3570k? i heard ivy bridge have some heating issues?

I want some recommendation of motherboards from gigabyte or Asus.. I was eying on asus p8z77 v pro but its priced around 17k.
There are many other good motherboards priced around 10-12k..i wanted to know whats special about V-Pro. Is it worth spending that much?

I wanted to have GTX 680 or AMD 7970 originally but dey are quite expensive imo.. is it worth spending 35k for 680 or should i go with little cheap card?
it would be great help if you can tell me which will be best manufacturer of card you suggest :)


Can you tell me difference between AX series and TX series?

Also, can you give me price of AX and TX 850W PSU?

i5 2500k will be enough for your gaming needs...
and bro if you are not using multiple monitors there's no use of spending that much in a gpu..
get a 7850,7870 instead
for mobo i personally feel u should go for z77 extreme6-12.5k
for ax i think these are modular series..
btw go for tx750 more than enough even if u gonna do sli
 
If you want to oc then go for this-

Asus P8Z77-V-15.5k OR Asus P8Z77-M PRO-13k
Rest same as above,The GTX670 is a good enough GPU for you and The suggested PSU'S are more than enough for you.Go for noctua NH-U12P SE2-3.9k OR Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO-2.1k for cooling and Ocing.

I'm thinking of going with i5 2500k over i5 3570k as der is not great performance difference between them and its priced around 16.5k.

On the motherboard...i was thinking of going with asus P8Z77-V-PRO or gigabyte
(btw isn't it waste buying Z77 motherboard at a higher price sense 2nd gen processors can't utilize the extra features like PCI-E3.0 present in Z77 boards?)

Can you tell me which manufacturer will be best for my GTX 680 or AMD 7970?


I m thinking of going with Noctua NH-D14, so those Ares ram will fit in it?
And can you tell me i should go with 1600Mhz or 1866mhz ram?

Also, it would be great help if someone can suggest some other cabby...not really impressed with looks of corsair :(
