Video Need advice on Connecting DishTV to monitor or PC directly.

I have a dish HD STB with HDMI port and Normal SD dish TV reciever, I also have a monitor ASUS VG248Q with HDMI and display port and a PC with Asus GTX970 strix graphic card,
Can somebody guide how Can i watch TV on my PC . trying to figure it our since long time now. Please advice
 
You can directly connect your HD STB's HDMI port directly with the monitor. & also connect a speaker with the monitor(sound out)
