Firstly Hi to all, this is my first thread at TE :). Moving on....

Budget: 70-80k

Usage: Will mostly be for slightly heavy gaming,CAD,Programming (.NET,C++,Java etc.),Video editing (could be hd)

Size and weight:Should be a desktop replacement laptop preferably 17" ,15" is fine too if specs are good.No constraint on weight.

Brand Preference :Clevo/Sager,MSI,Asus,Compal,Toshiba. Dislike: Acer,Dell,HP .No opinion:Lenovo,samsung

Other considerations:Must have gfx as 660m/670/675mx or Amd 7770m/7850/7870/7970.
Matte type screen with back lit LED,Back lit keyboard (Think I'm asking for a lot o.0 ).
HD screen if possible with res of 1920x1080.
Battery life:Well most time it will be plugged in,so say maybe 2 hours?

Well majorly will be used for a replacement to my current desktop, tired of not being able to carry it :(. Checked out various models but seems that most aren't available in India, well at-least not in Bangalore.I have the option open to get it imported from abroad with a increase in my budget say(80-90k),but is it worth it? (cant price compare models that aren't even available for sale lol )

Models I have looked into:
Sagernp9130/9150/9170
MSI GX60/GE60
Asus G75VW-AH71

Last piece of note:Looks arent my first preference as compared to performance and wouldn't want very fancy looking laptops (Sorry Alienware buddies!)as I will be at times carrying it to work.

Kindly do include a hyperlink/number of the seller.
Thanks in advance

I hope this doesn't count as soliciting ..

Might be, but then as long as they dont spam multiple times :P

As for OP, get the Y500 with SLI option from the US, should come to about 1000 USD when on sale with discounts. Cheapest so far.
