Hey TE folks, need your advice with something.

I want to buy these Etymotic triple flange eartips for my ER3XR (great earphones btw) from the Etymotic website, but it's too expensive to get them shipped.

The tips cost $15 but shipping is $59!. What's the best way to get these to India? Don't know anyone coming from the US, so that's not an option :/

Please suggest! Thanks.

Does it have to be etymotic?

With these kinds of accessories you either luck out or get severly shafted :grumpy:

Do give generics a go. You might be surprised how not so far away they are from branded. If headphone zone stocks them then maybe worth a shot.

I found these, but they’re not compatible. The nozzle size is too large.

I don’t kind buying generics, but surprisingly, I couldn’t find tips that fit the thin nozzle size of Etymotic ER3XR (~2-3mm).

Would appreciate further advice

Easy hack. Just wrap some paper around the nozzle until the tip fits. You could even try with thread

Since your earphone nozzle is too thin...

One other suggestion is to reach out to the HPZ and ask if they can import a few of your model since they are already selling dual flange from the same brand.

That's a good idea but I'm not sure how the sound quality would be affected :/ I'll save it as a last resort, thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks! Great idea, I've put in the enquiry, let's see...

Buying them like this will be expensive. Get it shipped as part of the shipping group.

Also for etymotics, never buy generic tips. The quality is so much worse and generic makers don't pay enough attention to it. I bought generic and orignal to try out. Generic version had text embossed on it and it would irritate your ear canal. Originals are perfect.

Which Etymotics do you have? Which tips have your tried so far? I have a good mind to try these Spinfit SP100+. They come with an adapter to fit the smaller nozzle of Etymotic earphones.
