Need Advice : WTB Omnia I900

Hi Guys,
I Need your adivce,ill be ordering an I900 soon from ebay, but before i do that i just wanted to know if any one here is aware of when Samsung will be releasing that phone in india?
The u900(?) (Soul) was released right on time, but the i900 did not follow this trend. Is anyone aware of this?

As for the Ebay price, im getting it for about 30K + CVD of about 12.5% , the total should set me back by about 33-35K for the 16GB version.

HTC Diamond :- Not good enough
Touch Pro :- Not good enough
X1 :- Ugly Keyboard / Need to wait
N96 :- Hmmm, not sure, is this a "Touch Screen" Phone?
Iphone :- Im not that stupid

Any other options for me here while in india?

Me too looking for Omnia as this is seems to be the most promising PDA Phone with decently large screen and balanced specs. I guess you are looking in eBay US. Its available on eBay India too, but one is up for bidding and another is priced too damn high (47k) by the seller.

As for N96, consider it as an option only if you are looking for a Multimedia phone. Its based on Symbian OS, but its not a touch screen. Anyways 36k is too high for N96 if you can get the Omnia for about the same price or less.
 
According to a recent Hindustan Times report, Omnia will be available towards the end of September, and will be priced at about 40K...!! :(
 
Well, it wont be priced at 40k, cause Samsung would want it to be in competition to the iPhone... so it would be priced around 30k most probably....

As for the phone being available in India... considring the hype around the iPhone... end of september does seeem a decent enough time for the phone to be launched... but they might launch it sooner like Nokia did it with the n96 >>

Im hoping as well, i think it would be in my best intrest to hold back on the purchase till the end of sept atleast. Just to see how things unfold. Besides the X1 should be out in US around the same time frame aswell. As long as there is some sorta confirmation that it will be released in india, im happy.
