I beg to differ:
Moto E: 1st gen had issues of storage space running out after installing a few apps. I don't know if the issue exists in the new model. Still has bad camera & 1GB of RAM.
Redmi 2: Service is good but don't expect any software updates from Xiaomi's side. Again has 1GB of RAM.

I'd suggest Lenovo A6000+ or Lenovo A7000 or Zenfone 5. The A7000 ships with Lollipop while the Zenfone 5 has already been upgraded to Lollipop.

1st gen 4GB internal with ~2.2GB user available space. 2nd Gen has 8GB internal memory which is the same as 535 DS. There will be no difference.
Camera - Yes 1st gen was bad w/o auto focus. 2nd gen is comparable to moto g 1st gen but pales in comparison to Redmi 2.

Moto phones have decent update cycle and the build is comparatively better than rivals in similar price range..

A6000+ - Heating issues, poor battery backup
A7000 - bulky, poor screen IINM
Zenfone 5 - Battery issues (There were reports this might have been fixed via fw updates, but not sure)

Heard too many issues with Lenovo phones. Increase your budget a bit and get Zenfone 5 if not Moto E. Flipkart usually has some offers going for Zenfone 5 like discount and cashbacks.
