Need an inverter

I've been looking into the inverter market, but there are so many different variables that it got confusing. Can someone recommend me an inverter that runs 2-3 fans and lights and if possible a LCD TV + STB? I need the fans and lights to run for at least 5-8 hours.
 
For a similar set up, I have a 600 VA inverter with a 150 AH battery. Works great. This is equivalent to 6 "points" as they call it. A point is roughly 60 W - the average fan. A regular LCD can take up to 3 points - more modern ones take somewhere around 2.
 
Even I am on Sukam Smiley 1.4 KVa. The build is well and truly flimsy with cheap plastic but at 7-8K I wouldn't expect miracles with these brands. You could actually consider APC and be happy with it. The service is great from personal experience. Why I went Sukam was I needed 1.4 Kva and APC does not have anything above 800 va.
