as my needs is for playing movies... blue-rays,hd-vdo and multimedia stuff.. no oc.
so kindly reply me approx cost. for ref.

i decided sum nd confuse in sum...:no:

Gigabyte GA-EG41MF-S2H ( gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H is not available here)

ram could be any brand (should i use 2*1gb or 2*2gb for dual channel ??)

cabinet + psu ?? for above config??? :huh:

HDD segate or wd 500gb (barracuda is it good ??)

Good choice , if you are encoding or doing procy based work for which Quad would be better . Also you can look at E5200 .

CM Elite 334 or Zebronics Bijli + Cm460W / Corsair cx400 < Better 334 is 1.7k / Bijli - 1k + Cm460w -2.2k / Cx400 -3k

HDD segate or wd 500gb (barracuda is it good ??) - 3k

Segate is faster although WD seems to be more reliable

rooney these are the best suggestions....u don need to think much atbt the mobo..

if u gettin a discreet card...the gigabyte g31 is a no brainer...

rest assured its a very solid board....pair it wid a good gpu...atleast hd 4670 and ur good to go..

Still u need a dedicated video card like the 9500GT or HD4670 to get the best HD / Blu-ray QUality.

n believe me, its TOTALLY WORTH IT. (Im not abt gaming here)

What's the point ?

Lets say you get a mobo with somewhat better gfx than GMA3100 on the G31 @ 5k

Then won't buying a G31 S2L @ 2k + Buying a low end GFX like 8600GT DDR3 @3k make more sense ?

No onboard IGP can match Dedicated gpu :cool2:

2 x 2 = 4 Gb , that's the max , Obviously you can use it .

No any cabi with decent airflow will be enough for the card .

An decent PSU will be required to power the card . You can get the Zebronics Pro series 3xx W @ 1500 Shipped via MediaHome .

a 780g based motherboard+IGP has DVI,HDMI(some have aadapter) for playing HD movies. 4k

PSU zebronics 400w/500w 2k

Total can come to 15k. U can get these for lower prices

+1 to this, AMD boards are much better vfm when it come to graphics and features.

im chnging my config .. as one of my frnd suggest buy quad instead core 2 duo.
so this
Quad Core Q8200 2.33 GHz - (4MB L2 cache 2.4Ghz) rs9025 ????
is better than ?
Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 GHz - (6MB L2 cache 3.0Ghz) rs9050 ????
and i m still not able to decide m/b.. max budgt is 5k.. (max ram should 8gb,firewire port)

agree with 8600gt gddr3 card.... arnd 3.5k i think..
ram will be 2*2gb 800mhz under 2.5k..
hdd segate 500gb... 3k i guess..
what max psu need for above config??? 450w enough ?? + cab ... under 2k...

srry guys i m bit confused with things.. hope u understand...:(

Can u plz post ur budget so that we can help u.... Are you a multimedia proffesional as u have mentioned you plan to use it for multimedia work???
Dont go for any cabby and SMPS... Money from Proxy can be used for this...
Go for a E7400@6K and buy a Cooler Master 460W @ 2.4K and Zebronics Bijili(without SMPS)@1.1K... So total of 3.5K... Dont go for anything lower than this coz its not good for your system in the longer run....If you need firewir and max 8GB RAM go for GA-EG41MF-S2H@5.2K....
It has both.. But why do you need 8GB... A 32bit OS can detect only 4GB RAM Max.
 
multimedia use is the main purpose of pc..

i m thinking now for this board Intel Desktop Board DG35EC --- rs4525

as ppl suggesting that e7400 is enough for use.. with palit 4670 gfx card.

e8400 is not required.. ??
