AMD A6-3650 ~ 5900/-

Gigabyte GA-A75-S2V ~ 5900/-

Corsair 4GB X 1 1333 MHz ValueRAM ~ 1900/- (as the motherboard I've told has only two DIMM slots)

Dell IN2030M LED back-lit monitor ~ 6500/- (20")

Cooler Master eLite 310 ~ 1500/- OR NZXT Gamma ~ 2100/-

FSP Saga II 400W ~ 1900/-

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB ~ 2700/-

APC BR 600VA-IN ~ 1900/-

Speakers Logitech R20 2.1 850

Total 22000

If you can extend the budget a little then get a AthlonII X3 440 ~ 3.4k and a good 20" monitor like the Dell IN2020M ~ 6k.

Intel Alternative is Intel Pentium G620 + Gigabyte GA- H61M-D2-B3 ~ 6.5k (From PrimeABGB. Nice Combo deal. Also the Pentium is the latest gen. sandybridge)

@ALPHA17 -> As I mentioned on the other thread RAM prices have dipped. GSkill 4GB DDR3 1600MHz costs ~1.7k now. Also suggest 1600MHz RAM or better with Llano as it makes a significant difference in GPU performance.

@Darkangel

I don't need Graphics card so i can save my 4000 rs and use it in buying AMD phenom and ASUS board plz suggest that combination.

Bcoz i heart that AMD Phenom-ii gives better performance than athon-ii bocz of sufficient Cache Memory

also the dell monitor that u have suggested that is LCD or LED and i am interested in 18.5 inch LED

also i am confused with ur suggested Logitech Spekers
is Logitech gives good performance than Altec Lansing 2.1?
and one more last question that SMPS and CABINET are nice but suppose the budget
increases then what should be the alternate option for Cabinet+SMPS within 2000 Rs.?

Thx in Advance

Sorry Sire. Will rectify :D.

AM3 socket is end of line. So investing in higher end of the socket is pretty pointless. Also there wont be much of a difference between a Athlon and Phenom for your usage scenario. I would say better opt for Intel's new sandy bridge Pentiums.

Tweaked the config a bit for your needs. The 20" Dell IN2020M is a LED monitor. Alternate speakers are the Altec Lansing 2.1 VS2621 for ~1.5k

Don't skimp of the power supply. Its the most important component of the PC.

Thx DarkAngel
i convinced with ur config from HDD to UPS.

but suppose in case i need heavy Multitasking or suppose m working on Visual Studio 2008/2010 + SQL Server 2008/2010 OR Oracle-11g then will this Athlon or intel processor give the good performance?

also instead of Kingston RAM shall i go for Corsair Ram ?

reply

thx

also wat about the performance of
Altec Lansing BXR 1221 ?

ok thanks DarkAngel
I am not interested in laptop..

lets come back to the desktop discussion that we were talking about..

i was talking about running visual studio+ sql server/oracle 11g on ur suggested processor..
will that processor give me a good performance ??

Also the prices that you have mentioned is a great deal

but i dont think that i will get it in that exact price in thane-district(Mumbai-Maharashtra)

can you please tell me from where i will get this best deal in Laminton-Mumbai

reply thanks

one of my frnd is using AMD phenom -X2 550 BE

and he is Visual Studio Programmer and he was telling that processor is fine for visual studio

also i have googled the AMD Phenom-II Processors with AMD-Athlon-II and i found that AMD Phenom-II is the winner in terms of Cache

plz give ur suggestion

AMD Phenom

AMD Athlon

reply thx

For productivity purpose you are better off with a AthlonII X3 445 ~ 3.4k The extra core would come in handy rather than extra L3 cache.

thx for the reply..

ok so u mean to say no. of cores are important rather than cache memory...

ok ok

but according to my knowledge if processor has good cache memory then fetching of data becomes easier and faster and that helps in faster processing of data..

plz give ur suggestion..

Sorry i am going too much deep but i am too much careful about processor, thats y i am asking too much doubts...

reply

thx..

Okay see bruv, in the low-end CPU segment core-to-core performance is more beneficial as compared to cache memory on CPU die, although in applications like Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk MAYA and similar the added cache will positively impact the performance of the system sharply. Whilst Core i3 2100 > AMD Athlon IIx4 (due to improved lithographic architecture by Intel, the AMD processor still leads in pure multi-thread benches (due to true quad-core vs. Intel's HT), while Intel benefits in single-thread benches, gaming and power efficiency) -- AnandTech - Bench - CPU.

No problems man we are here to help so ask all doubts freely.
