Hi all,
I’m a freelancer and my work completely depends on my desktop PC, which draws under 500W. Unfortunately, my area faces frequent blackouts usually 15–30 mins multiple times a day, and sometimes 3–5 hour outages once or twice a week.
Aside from my PC, I’ll also need backup for:
I’m planning to go for something more than 150AH, but not more than 240AH as that starts getting too expensive. My main priority is reliability — I don’t want my system going down while I’m working, especially during long outages.
My questions:
Appreciate any insights thanks in advance!

Aside from my PC, I’ll also need backup for:
- 3 to 5 ceiling fans
- 3 to 4 LED bulbs (~9W each)
I’m planning to go for something more than 150AH, but not more than 240AH as that starts getting too expensive. My main priority is reliability — I don’t want my system going down while I’m working, especially during long outages.
My questions:
- What AH rating would be ideal for this use case (PC + fans + lights)?
- What should I keep in mind when choosing a battery and inverter tubular vs flat plate, sine wave vs square wave, etc.?
- Any particular brands or models you'd recommend within a ₹25K–30K budget?
Appreciate any insights thanks in advance!
