Monitors Need DP and HDMI cables for dual monitor setup.

I am looking for getting either 3 feet, 6 feet or 10 feet DP and HDMI cables for my system. which one should I get ?
my personal system will use 3 or 6 feet cable and my other system which I plan on doing multi seat will use the 6 or 10 feet cable

Amazonbasics cables support maximum DisplayPort version of 1.2. It impacts performance. Latest DisplayPort version is 1.4. Go for Bluerigger ones.

This is also DisplayPort version 1.2 same as AmazonBasics. You wont be able to squeeze maximum performance from your monitor if you are on DisplayPort 1.2 version cables.

Actually my monitor itself doesn't support DP version 1.4. It supports max version 1.2 only.

I have a 10+ year old DP cable I got with my U2311, it works fine with my XV272U, 1440p and 144hz

Yes. These are backward compatible. Should work just fine.

Go with HDMI if you have audio requirements too. That will be more compatible with HT equipments like AVR, etc. Otherwise DP is a better choice.
