Has anyone updated their bios for MB MSI 790GX-G65. I need to do it so that it is compatible with new Phenom II CPUs. Let me know if there is anything I need to be aware of before doing it or any known bottlenecks/tips.
I haven;t updated/flashed any MB BIOS till now, hence would like to be in a better position before doing it.
have you checked the cpu support page? as it will tell you which cpus are supported by what bios. if the cpu isnt listed then that means no support on that board for it. though you didnt say which PII so its hard to say which one your calling new. here is the link to the boards product page.
odd part is they list the newest bios for supporting all those cpus in the support list. i guess im to use to Abits style of showing which cpu is supported and by which bios version.
