Need For Speed - The RUN - Cannot Assign Joystick Controls

I bought this joystick earlier this month. Its working fine with other games inclusing NFS MostWanted.

NFS Run detected the pad easily and i was able to play upto 9 Levels. I turned of the system after 9 levels (proper shutdown of everything) and next morning when i started game, it couldn't configure any of the joystick buttons.

Game is able to read the device, but only few controls are working. And gear shift is not happening. If i pause the game and resume, then there happens a shift. Totally weird.

Joystick is working fine with other games. I've tried this in 3 PCs so far..

Is there any known patches or configs to resolve this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm. Try uninstalling the driver software and reinstalling it again.

go to control options> Devices and printers. Click on your joystick and calibrate the keys. see if all of thm working correctly.

Joystick is working fine with other games. issue is only with NFS RUN.

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

OK. Try uninstalling yours and and unzip and try again.

try unziping the game again, as the problem seems to be caused by game software only.. play with same savegame....

have u connected any other controllers or usb things after u stopped playing tht day. try to play after disconnecting all those.
