Certain pointers why I suggested the rig this way --

1) The Z68 chip-set performs poorly (the SSD and Quick sync -- are better implemented on the H67) when compared to the P67 in HDD benchmarks, and other than a fusion of P67 power and H67 value is really not the board you should look at while you are actively seeking to overclock, http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/05/11/asus_p8z68v_pro_z68_chipset_motherboard_review/, http://www.techspot.com/review/395-asrock-z68-extreme4/, http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/43205-intel-z68-review-sandy-bridge-platform-expands.html

2) the AMD HD 6950 2GB can be unlocked to HD 6970 which easily goes toe to toe against the more power hungry GTX 570. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/292?vs=306

3) the RAM is CL-8 timings are tighter so should translate to better overclocking.

4) the Dell Ultrasharp monitor is an ultimate piece you should get it no matter what will give you a whole new view, its IPS panel kills the best TN based monitors out there. http://www.pchardwarehelp.com/guides/lcd-panel-types.php
Hope this helps.

MSI R6950 Twin Frozr II/OC Graphics Card 2gb 15400

Cooler Master HAF 922 Chassis 6840

Razer Deathadder for 2.2k or Logitech MX 518 for 1.2-1.3k or so

If you want to save some bucks, go with a 23" LED full HD from Dell for 9900 or so and you save straight 4500 bucks or so :D

Well, go for their config:

But since you want to do threaded work like editing HD movies, grab the COre i7 2600k instead, the HT will come of use!

With this budget it is difficult to get a 2600k because you will need to reduce the components elsewhere which will be more difficult.

Will the i5 oc beats the i7 at stock:S?
Asking this because the i5 2500K with cooler cost ~equal to i7 2600k at stock.

Edit: was referring to performance in gaming.

One cheapo mechanical keyboard I can suggest is the TVS GOLD (They have these at schools) Check it out : TVS-e Printers, POS Printers, Large Format Printers,POS Products, POS peripherals, Keyboards, Label Printers & Scanners, Supplies

For mouse, I suggest the M100 by logitech, you get them from around 350 to 450 and they're pretty good.

Go with Rite's config, its pretty good and you can run everything at max for a few years :)
K decided on Keyboard(TVS Gold) and Mouse(M100) :) Thanks....also help me to decide on Monitor and other components...

Get a TVS Gold ~ 1200/- that is the price most members post.

For the CPU Cooler, please try to get one right now as later it is useless, either you kick it in now or don't, as-well the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ is cheap ~ 1800/- throw in another BladeMaster ~ 600/- and you've a very capable push-pull based cooler, one which will perform better than the stock cooler and keep your PC cool even if you plan to rev up-to 4.4 GHz.

For cabinet I'm telling you again mate, you're in Bangalore where NZXT Tempest EVO is available and the Tempest EVO beats the HAF 912 Advanced handily with lots of room to spare, the prime thing is all fans ~ 6 in total ( 4x 120mm + 2x 140mm come pre-bundled with the case from the start) and dust-filters are also available from beginning so no problem of dust clogging up the cabinet, also it is cheaper. Golccha sells the NZXT Tempest EVO ~ 6100/- (tax inclusive), while HAF 912 Advanced ~ 6500/- (tax inclusive) [and for HAF you need to further invest on fans]. Check for yourself --

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/NZXT-Tempest-EVO-Case-Review/883/6 -- Tempest EVO conclusions.

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Cooler-Master-HAF-912-Case-Review/1086/6 -- HAF 912 Advanced conclusions.

For RAM try to get one with the tightest timings (helps during over-clocking), I had suggested the TRIDENT 2x 2GB 1600 MHz CL-8 ~ 3000/- Gskill which is cheaper than what rite suggested RIPJAWS X 1600MHz CL8 ~ 5900/- http://www.smcinternational.in/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_images.tpl&product_id=1299&category_id=41&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=79 -- the difference lies in the heat-spreaders. The Vengeance doesn't even figure in this because Corsair might demand a premium for its low profile design and RAS to CAS timings are CL-9. http://www.corsair.com/memory/vengeance/vengeance-low-profile-blue-8gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cml8gx3m2a1600c9b.html

For the monitor I strongly urge you buy the Dell Ultrasharp U2311H ~ 14000/- its IPS panel will demolish the best of your LED back-lit TN based monitors. http://www.pchardwarehelp.com/guides/lcd-panel-types.php.

Hope this helps.
