If the key doesn't work, email flipkart, they'll send you one more.

That is the correct process. Wrong CD key happens many times with games published in India. You'll get a new key.

Thanks mate...

I have buyed gta4 also..Could u tell me how to install that 1 too to work on steam as well..Many said that stuff about windows live and socialclub..I dont know about all that stuff..Kindly

I think he is trying to use CD key on steam rather than steam game key. Not sure if that works.

Wait... are you sure driver SF is a steamworks game? Cause if not you can't add it on same. Same with gta4

I think it is UPlay! based. Though are not these games compatible with STEAM as you can purchase the same there.

P.S. -- OR the retail copy of the game is locked into UBISOFT's UPlay! database and is not compatible with STEAM.

It works, there is an options in STEAM to register non-STEAM games.

Yes i'm using DVD key..When my friend used his dirt 3 cd key on steam then it works. He is playing dirt 3 on steam now.

The steam itself saying add a product key that you got with cd/dvd to activate.

Yes but it doesn't show your status anymore..It just like adding cracked game..

What do you mean by the 'status'?

Have you checked on the retail packaging whether Driver: San Francisco requires STEAM to run?

Although the game can be picked up from STEAM it does not feature any of the exclusives, like -- Achievements, DLCpacks et al. So I think it is a primary an UPlay! title and can just be activated on STEAM for digital ownership not a pre-requisite for gaming.

how many hours we played and all...It didn't said anything about steam on disk

See that is what I meant, Driver: San Francisco is an UPlay! title, on STEAM it is just there as a digital back-up / download option.

You do not need to register the game on STEAM. Enjoy it, Cheerio!

So it means it wont accept as steam game?

If it didn't say on the box, it isn't mate. Only games which are based on steam support it.

Example - All valve games, most codemaster racing games etc.

What won't work? Rest of the games you can't add to your steam library.

Any game which is listed here, you can add to your library - https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-wusf-3601

Very bad,,Both driver and gta 4 isn't in list..I bought these games to play on steam..On steam games are highly priced and need to download high sized files..:(

I don't get what is bad about this, you bought a game, go ahead and play it. Why do you care if the DRM is Steam or UPlay? Dirt 3 uses Steamworks, so any Dirt 3 retail dvd will activate on Steam. Some other examples are Darksiders, Skyrim and COD(forgot which one). If you buy GTA IV from Steam, you will be able to play on Steam, otherwise you will not be able to activate it on Steam.

BTW GTA IV and Liberty City Stories were on sale for about $10 in the summer sale :)
