Need Help building cheap NAS or an alternative system

Dear Forum Members,

I am looking help to build a cheap NAS for my torrent downloads and sharing the downloaded content wirelessly with the Mediaplayer (Xtreamer) or any other alternative solution. I am looking for a cheap alternative, I will be using it for movies and videos mostly upto 720p resolution. Thanks for your advice and help in advance.
