Need help buying a mp3 player.

Can anyone tell me where I can buy 'Creative Zen Stone' in Mumbai. I also want to buy the AC adapter for it, so that I can charge it when I go out of town and a PC is not available.

I went to Vijay Sales and they didn't have it. The salesman showed me Philips Go Gear SA2125 which I felt was quite good it had the following features:
1. Direct USB port no cables.
2. Powered by AAA batteries. <-use 'n' throw gr8 option can use rechargable batteries
3. 2 GB memory capacity.
4. Monochrome display.
5. FM radio.
6. Price at Rs.2799/-
7. 4 available pre-programmed equalizer settings.

I looked for a review of the player but no decent review was available, no reviews from techtree or tech2.0. Only found one user review who screwed it up while doing a firmware update.

I am looking for the following features in a mp3 player:
1. Priced under Rs.2500/-
2. 1 GB is more than sufficient for me.
3. Great sound output quality also loud enough to turn me deaf (seriously).
4. An easily available AC adaptor kit or mode to recharge it.
5. A display of some sort would be good.

For 2 GB I don't mind shelling out and extra 300 Rs, but is it any good.

Do suggest a different player also where I can buy it and the price.

for 2.5k you should be able to get the tried and trusted transcend T610 2 GB . it does have the output, but to turn you deaf, buy the creative EP 630 at a later date. They cost about 1k . worth every rupee . makes the transcend sound better than more expensive players :hap2:
 
the charger kit for every player till the ipods is the same. its an AC adapter into which you just plug in the USB cable u use to connect to the PC :D
 
for the transcend t610/ t630, you can use a motorola RAZR charger which costs 100 ( duplicate) 450 (original)

I will get a Transcend T sonic 610 for now and later buy creative EP 630.

Just one last question guys, if I buy a moto razr charger or any other charger (just saw the port on net even a moto ming charger will do) while charging do I directly switch it off or is there a plug out option available on the player. Don't want to experiment with the device after buying it. I had to get my transcend v30 4gb replaced after experimenting with my dvd player to see if it movies play well from it (unplugged it and plugged in a few times while the dvd player was on and bang, it got screwed).
 
it is better you switch it off before plugging in the charger. :)

but the max that can happen is a busted firmware , which can be reflashed using the CD you get with it . You might lose your data though
 
OK, I get it now. Keep it switched off throughout the recharging time when using an adaptor.

when you plug in the charger, it will turn on again btw. Just dont plug in the charger when the player is on
 
Bought the player but couldn't find Creative EP 630.

The player is great real value for money.

Can someone tell me where I can buy the headphones in Mumbai?

Tried to find it at Shoppers Stop (Andheri), Vijay Sales (Infiniti Mall) and Anupam and a few other showrooms.
 
I prefer getting stuff from a shop. Never buy anything online. I don't know why (scared) but still just can't get beyond it.

I don't mean to offend anyone. I do apologize if I did. But, can you tell me a local shop or store where I can get it.

^ check out some creative dealers , and i think phoniex the dealer is also from mumbai may be u can have it picked from his place or something. dont be scared buddy .

u cud pick it up from Phoenix ...he is in mumbai...just suggesting cause u wud get a really gud deal from Phoenix.....hes an excellent dealer...

if only there was some price protection while buying from you.....

cause ure newer deals seem to out do your previous deals with big margin...(just to clarify that statement... it only says how gud a dealer u are :P)

i wudnt wonnt piss Phoenix off ...need to buy stuff from him in the future...
