friends i am unable to format my 160gb blue wd hdd. like in the os section i have mentioned that i was not able to install os [w7] on it.
it gives following error on it
Failed to format the selected partition. [error:0x80070057].
like what members suggested i did a hd tune pro scan, hd regeneration scan and also wd windows diagnoses or what so it's known.
every software have given green pass to the hdd but when ever i try to format it, it says formating faild.
even zero format cant do the job.
but when i changed the hdd type from ntfs to exFAT it worked.but i cant install windows 7 on that drive
now what to do ????
how do i change the exFAT to NTFS as i want to install windows 7 on my blue HDD which is faster.
and also can any body tell me why is this problem causing around.
