I'm trying to connect my xbox to my monitor and speakers. My monitor has only one vga and one dvi port. The xbox has a hdmi out and component port which is used to connect to the TV. Its made in such way that I can't use both at the same time ie. HDMI and component port. Can someone help me with this?

If there is no other way i'm even ready to buy this ridiculously expensive connector from Microsoft.

Microsoft VGA HD Cable (Black) | Tv Out Cable | Flipkart.com

I just need to find a store that has this in Bangalore. Any idea where I can find this?

Ok...I managed to find the cable at a retail outlet. It's working fine but there is one problem. My monitor's native resolution is 1600x900, but the console doesn't support that resolution in vga mode so the image looks blurred. So I was wondering, if i buy a different monitor(1080p) would that help at all? Since most of the games are usually rendered at 720p won't that end up blurred too? Anyone here with experience using a hd monitor for xbox? Please help

No issues on monitor

Yes, i know the monitor is fine. I was trying ask if it would help if i get a monitor with a supported native resolution. I think the image looks bad in my monitor because it's being forced to run at some non-native resolution.

select custom scaling in your monitor and select 'fill to aspect ratio' and see if this works :23:

it will look fine even if you play @ 720p on a 1080p monitor
