Need help deciding a config

Hi. I'm new here. I am going to get an assembled desktop system tomorrow, I have a budget of around 50k and I need some help.

I have decided on purchasing an Intel Core i5 760 which costs 9.8k

I am not sure which RAM would be best. I want 4 GB. Right now I am thinking G.Skill 4GB DDR3 1333 Ripjaws CL7 which will cost 3.7k. I'd have gone with 1600 sticks but I won't be overclocking the system so would 1333 be the best option for me? Or should I shell out an extra 1k and just go for 1600 sticks? Also how does G.Skill compare to other brands like Corsair performance wise?

More important for me is deciding the motherboard. Again, I want something which will give good performance and will be reliable. I am considering MSI P55-GD65 which costs 6.9k or Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 which costs 6.4k.

The PSU I am considering is Corsair VX550 and the hard disk is Seagate ITB 7200.12 which cost 4.5k and 2.8k respectively.

I have no idea which cabinet, monitor or graphics card I should buy. I won't really be using this system for gaming. It will be primarily used for programming and web development. I purchase a new desktop every 5 years so it is very important to me that I get something which will last for 5 years. I hope somebody here will be able to give good advice. Thanks.

if ur purpose is not gaming then i wud suggest u to go with AMD based system... coz AMD IGP wud just do fine for u...

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 955BE - 7K - Suggested this proccy over i5 760 coz performance difference between i5 760 and AMD Phenom II 955Be is not that great...

Motherboard: Gigabyte 880GMA-UD2h - 4.5K

RAM: G.SKill Ripjaws 1600mhz CL9 - 3550 - Buy G.Skill Ripjaws 1333MHz if wanna save a bit money...

HDD: Seagate 7200.12 1TB - 2.75K

GPU: Onboard HD4250 IGP

Monitor: BenQ G2220HD - 7.7K

Cabinet: CM 690/ NZXT Tempest EVO/ Coolermaster 690II Advanced - 4600/5700/5400 - A good cabinet wud be better for future upgrades... ;)

PSU: Corsair VX550 - 4700 - As this rig is not for gaming then VX450 b wud more than enough for this rig, and by going with vx450 u can save 1.2k ;)

Keyboard+Mouse: Logitech Combo - 700 this combo wud b fine for u as this rig is not for gaming

ODD: L.G./Samung/ SOny OEM SATA DVD-Writer - 950

Speakers: Altec Lansing VS4121 - 2.8K

Total: 39250/40350/40050

If u want a bit more muscle then go for AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 8.6K

IMO Core i5 760 or Phenom II 955BE is a bit overkill for web developping and programming... u can save a bit by going with athlon II 635 - 4.5K which wud b more than enough for webdeveloping and programming purpose... but i just adviced 955BE coz u want ur rig to last for atleast 5 years...

Gskill & Corsair both are good brands but corsair has better after sales service. IMO ddr3 1333 mhz will be enough for you no need to buy 1600.
You don't need a Graphics card as you are not gaming but I5 760 does not support onboard graphics. Hence either you have to buy a discrete GPU or different processor (i5-6**) & motherboard(h55 chipset instead of p55).
HDD & PSU are choice is good. NZXT gamma is a great VFM case. U2311H is very good monitor retails for ~14K

I will say wait till january & buy yourself a sandybridge config else go for AMD.

Guys, I think I'd like to go to with the i5 because I sometimes write applications that I use for data conversion (like importing data from a CSV or an XML file to MySQL) and some of these things around 12 hours on my current Intel P4 2.8 GHz system which has 2 GB RAM. I am guessing I'd need a high end processor to make such things finish faster?

Since u are gonna keep ur rig for quite some time go for a AMD Hexa Core. Would come in handy. Also the MSI 880GMA_E45 has USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gbps ports. For the monitor go for a 23"/24". The screen space would come in handy.

Initially go with the IGP. U can always upgrade to a decent GPU as u will be getting a good PSU like the VX450. :)

Oops forgot to edit out the GPU. If u check the total it would be without the GPU and also in the comments i had asked him to go with IGP. thanks for pointing it out :)Edited post.
