Hey guys, too much powercut these days, even during my exams its going for about 4-5 hours, not good. Anyways, parents said that they'll buy me an inverter (thanks to them <3 ), and they've given me a budget of around 20k (can be extended by 2k), i need something of > 750w so that'll be good.

Things that might run :

4 lights (2 tube lights and 2 CFL's)
1 Fridge
1 TV
1 Comp
2 fans

Anything > 6-7 hours is awesome. And the battery needs to be something good (dont wanna keep replacing every 2 years) :) .Please reply and suggest something awesome!!! :hap2:

someone help..?

Here is help from my side with few basic tips

Square Wave Inverters- Digital Inverters - humming sound - running electronic appliances over Square Wave is not at all recommended.

Sine Wave Inverters BEST TO TAKE - produce the right wave pattern, safely run most of the appliances

Quasi Sine Wave Inverters - didn’t find them in the market

Go with APC HI800SQ OR Su-Kam Falcon-i (800VA) Sine Wave Inverter

Remove Fridge from the list. It wont be able to take load of fridge & geyser.

I have installed with an APC it shows 800 VA on its chassic, and the battery used is local made , In my home at a given time 3-4 rooms have fans and tubelights almost on, my computer with 3-4 ext drives, and a bit more stuff like cellphone charging, aa/aaa battery chargers are always connected, and it never failed in the 160 Amp battery. So I can recommend APC, its a sine wave model and working smooth for 3-4 years now.

as he mention fridge 800 va wouldn't sufficient.u need at least 1500va or higher inverter.
sukam, microtek, luminous are good inverters with fair aftersales service.
Use exide tubular inverter battery.
mainly inverters have a disadvantage they O/p rated voltage at full Load only.at no load or min. load they o/p nearly 270v.So check before buying any inverter that it o/p not more than 250v at min load.

could u please provide the o/p voltage at no load or at 1 tubelight on.i am going to chage current inverter and battery so thats why i am asking. As most of the inverters give high voltage(around 270v) at no load or min. load.Is ur inverter provides rated o/p or high o/p.

Hi ^ I have no idea how to notice it, A post here shows that the invertor i have is not sine wave, maybe this is true.

I am also up for a new inverter 2.2KVA 36v which have 3 batteries setup, anybody have ideas which is best, there is microtek with such model. any experiences with microtek?
