I am using Hindware - got for Rs.4500 odd about 2years back. Try getting one with baffle filters (the ones with long steel plates) as they are easy to clean. Also make sure you switch it on at the outlet and check the noise levels, as the the cheap ones can be quiet noisy. 10K is a decent budget for hood.

How is the Hindware you are using does it have filters? and noise levels?

Its got mesh filters which are a bit problematic to clean. And yes its quite noisy.
A costly hood will be quiter, thats what the high price is for.
