Need help in selecting a 42" TV

Looking for a 42"TV:

1. Budget = 35-42K(Max)

2. Viewing distance= 10-15 Feet

3. Sources/inputs such as HD DTH/consoles/stand-alone media players etc= External Hard Drive, Laptops HDMI Output

4. Preference for plasma TV/LCD TV/LED-LCD TV= LCD Or LED(if in budget)

5. Preference for brands: Any

6. Willing to purchase it from the grey market? : No

7. Ambient lighting conditions of the room: Lighting conditions are good.

8. Any other feature you are looking for such as 3D support on the HDTV, DLNA capabilities etc: No

Right now I have one possible option, the LG LG 42LK450 @40K

Please help me choose from all the available options out there. Thank you!
 
The Samsung 40D550 is now 43.8k on flipkart.

It might be a tad above your budget but it's a good set with some bells and whistles

Not sure about Panasonic. Thou the specs look good, didn't get a good demo from the shops. Would suggest you scout around for a demo. Carry your own movies.

heard the Panasonic L42U30D is better than the Samsung 40D550!!

saw it for 43k in Letsbuy!!is it cheaper anywhere else online?

I bought the LG 42LK450, its a good TV for its price.

The Panasonic one is available for 41.3 K at Flipkart. But the dynamic ration of the display is way lesser when compared to the LG one, and that was a big turn off for me. But it is internet ready which is a good advantage. Please do check with the local dealers for pricing before buying it online.
 
^^hows the usb connectivity?does it recognize most video formats??

internet connectivity is not an important factor for me!!
