hi ppl,
I want an Intel core i7 motherboard.
My budget is 10k but i can extend it up to 15k max.
If I won't find any i7 mobo under 15k than sadly I have to switch-over to Core2Quad. :crash:
Please help!

+1 for the biostar, although it has some issues with memory.
another option is the MSI x58 Pro-e, cheapest x58 board available locally, 11.2k

^i've heard that the RMA rates of MSI boards is high? Is that true?

Or if you want the best of both the worlds, get a DFI DK board..pm Phoenix our very own dealer on TE.

i don't think so, someone on XS had posted a survey done by a french site which showed failure rates in all hw peripherals and surprisingly MSI was last.
And if its rma you're worried about then DFI would be the last option. Check all the horror stories on XS, DFI has the worst rma service coupled with the short 2yr warranty.
however since rma for india will be handled by sudhir i dont think thats a big problem

I had MSI x58 Pro ... they have D-link as service centre which is strange.... RMA happens from Delhi.... my board was stuck for 45 days. n I got my Credit Note after 60 days.

That also when I got hold of one of the senior person in Delhi.

So MSI yeah same time i also read the article has one of the LOWEST fail rate. But i had bad experience.

Gigabyte UDR3 might fit in your budget. Just check if you want to do SLI it might have issue becoz of the South block heatsink.

Rest only options u have is DFI & Intel. Would personally pick Intel over DFI. DFI are good but higher end ones are better. ... Rest Intel service is better so a safer bet.

Why dont you have a look at the i5 line up instead of i7?

i5 750 - Rs.10700/-

Intel DP55WB - Rs. 6.5k/-

OCZ Titanium DDR3 4 GB - 6.7k/-

the i5 750 performs as good as the i7 920 if not better. You save a lot of dough here.

:)
