I would ideally not like to spend 50k on a laptop but more like 35K but if there is a laptop for 50k which suits my requirements then I would go for it. It will mainly be used for surfing the net, tally and basic business appliactions nothing processor heavy. I currently own a 15" Dell Inspiron and sometimes I find it a bit bigger screen size for my requirements. An ideal size would be a 13" with a back-lit keyboard for low light/night surfing. It should be light and preferably with a SSD as I want it to be fast. I had been using both Dell and Compaq laptops for a while. While nothing in particular has gone wrong in either of them I prefer Dell for the after sales service. I remember my sisters Compaq network port dying and it took almost 15 days and two visits to get that replaced, while on the other hand Dell replaced my faulty keyboard as well as my battery at my place in 24 hours notice and the only thing which I had done was a phone call.

One major thing which I want in my laptop is a macbook like multitouch track[ad which should work equal if not better then a Macbook. Multitouch gestures like safari are a must. I would prefer a macbook over notebook just for this reason alone. These are some of my basic requirements. Anything else is just an added bonus.
