I'm looking for a mouse within 3k..
Hand Grip: Claw Grip , prefer Wired mouse, Functional Buttons: Minimum 5 - Max 7-9, Macros: will not be using it (since i rarely play MMORPG)
Games i play: Almost all kind of games.

Currently using Steel Series Ikari Laser (Iron Lady combo- White) from past 1year, this mouse is for palm grip mostly felt, while taking this mouse thought i will change the Hand grip style to Palm grip but i found it uncomfortable to play with that style..

Thanks for the replies in advance... :hail:

The best mouse would be logitech G500 for 3695 on Flipkart... It has 10 user configurable buttons including 3 thumb buttons. I have been using this mouse for 3 years now and its awesome....
Or, if the budget is reallly tight, go for Corsair M60 for 2800 on hardwire. Even logitech G400 is awesome for around 1700 on Flipkart... This mouse would perform like a 3K mouse from any opther brand considering a normal gamer does not go beyond 1000-1200 dpi.... Consider a G500 seriously.. Its well worth the price difference...

I was looking and found these interesting Corsair Vengeance M60, Razer Deathadder, Roccat Kova+, CYborg R.A.T 3 and logitec G400... please help me to decide on these!![h=2][/h][h=2][/h]

^^^Out of the above I would recommend the Corsair M60 because it has the best VFM, literally, it has features that 4K mouse has for 2800 rupees

You have the following mice to look at --

Cooler Master STORM SPAWN ~2200/-

PRO's --
  • designed exclusively for the Claw grip gamers;
  • good, nimble optical sensor ~3500dpi;
  • robust build quality;
  • two extra thumb buttons.

CON's --

LOGITECH G300 ~1300/-
  • cheapest in the round-up;
  • ambidextrous layout;
  • plenty of buttons to go around;
  • has got functional bling;
  • LOGITECH has nailed the driver to perfection.

CON's --
  • small size is not everyone's cup of tea;
  • slow sensor ~2500dpi [decent for me];
  • iff scroll wheel.

LOGITECH G400 ~1500/-
PRO's
  • successor to the vaunted LOGITECH MX518;
  • fastest sensor in the sub-2500/- market;
  • decent spread of extra buttons;
  • excellent right-hand ergonomics;
  • LOGITECH drivers are amazing.

CON's
  • not a claw-grip mouse per-se;
  • limited to right-handers and no way to know which sensitivity are you using;
  • iffy scroll wheel.

Corsair Vengeance M60 ~3000/-
PRO's
  • Corsair's entry into PC gaming peripherals market;
  • best build quality for a mouse, only the R.A.T. can compete;
  • crazy fast LASER sensor ~5700dpi;
  • effective drivers and a rudimentary weight system round up this mouse.

CON's --
  • a palm grip based design;
  • restricted to right-hand users;
  • LASER sensor requires a hard-pad [but you have it].

LOGITECH G500 ~3200/-
PRO's
  • another of LOGITECH's famous [OR infamous] mice;
  • well built and pretty fast sensor ~5400dpi;
  • design shares a lot in common with the LOGITECH MX518 so obvious allusions and positives.

CON's --
  • scroll wheel and side buttons have faced flak for poor dessign and construction;
  • not a claw-grip oriented design;
  • sits very close the M60 in pricing.

Razer DeathAdder ~2200/-
PRO's
  • another design from the old-school;
  • has got a cult that rivals that of the MX518, simple design with minimal extra buttons cluttering up the mouse;
  • beautiful sculpted design that works for both claw-grip as well as palm-grip;
  • fast Razer Infrared sensor ~3500dpi.

CON's --
  • Razer ahs faced flak for poor after sales service and build quality;
  • customisability is poor as well the drivers are more show and less work.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!!

id say get the razer imperator for a little extra . Its a sturdy big and a good mouse ,
if its out of budget , g500 and deathadder are the 2 best options .

PS: Heavy FPS gamer , i have used nearly all mice :D

hello alpha!

i think TT eSports' Theron & Razer Spectra too must be worthy contenders

You have tagged the wrong guy, my name is ALPHA17.

Getting onto business, no actually I have never used TT eSports mice or even the Razer Spectre; the main problem with both is their parent company doesn't handle anything related to RMA's so if either of these take a hike the end user is in a soup.

Also the Spectre is very expensive for what is on offer. Over any of these mice, OP will love the SPAWN best, closely followed by the LOGITECH G300 and Razer Death Adder.

Rest of the mice are all Palm-Grip oriented vis-a-vis his preference of a Claw-Grip. Hope this explains my opinion, Cheerio!!

i meant you only; just shortened your name :P

don't know about RMA for thermaltake (though they do have an india website)....razer's RMA is dubious. but for the mouse itself, theron, as the OP wants, lies between claw and finger-tip grips, similar to the RAT series. though just for claw, i agree spawn feels really good. i have had an unused piece, but gifted it to a cousin. it really felt comfortable gripping the mouse. and since OP has had issues with his Ikari, i would seriously not consider recommending the DA to him (considering its a large palm-grip mouse). i myself sold two of my pieces since it was uncomfortable for gaming to me due to its 'extended' palm grip that resulted in a slight but persistent uncomfortable feeling in my 3rd finger. using it with a claw grip felt awkward though to me.

@Grim, just go for Logitech G500. You wont be dissapointed. I just bought another yesterday from FK after my previous G500 broke after 3 years almost. I also tried CM sentinel zero-G but was not happy with it.....

Hey any idea about Roccat Kova not Kova + since its way out of my range..

It is limited by the fact that it has no drivers, hence you cannot assign auxiliary tasks to the extra buttons until and unless the software recognizes them on the hardware.

Where can you get the Roccat Kova+ and for how much? It is not available through the Indian distributors of Roccat.

If your friend gets his hands on any Kova+ can you please tip me off, I would like to review one and purcahse it as well [ambidextrous bling lover here].

Please avoid the Deathadder! I've used 2 different variants (first gen. and the second gen. with the 3500 dpi) and am currently using the replacement of the second one. On both the occasions, the mouse developed the dreaded single-click issue - all single clicks would be registered as double clicks. I believe this seems to be a problem with the switch so some folks have found a temporary fix using some WD40 drops. But it doesn't seem to last long either and the problem resurfaces later.

I'd suggest you to stay away from Razer mice and stick with Corsair or Logitech. Corsair is relatively new on the input peripheral front but their devices have received some very favourable reviews all around. When my present DA goes, I'll most probably switch to Corsair.

^^ Thanks was bending towards DA and some how i also got interest on Naga Epic too... (And BTW Razer has got service issues)
Will chk b/w Spawn, Corsair M60, and Logitech G400/500...
Corsair M60 as per Alpha17 its palm grip and its mainly focused on FPS, i'm losing bit of interest on FPS and gaining more on RPG (not MMORPG)!!

In this case these are the mice that will suit you best --

LOGITECH G300

Corsair Vengeance M60

Before purchasing try to audition them and get a good feel as the G300 is smallish and is not everybody's cup of tea. The M60 because you are wary of reinvesting in a Palm-Grip oriented mouse.

The M60 has garnered significant praise and most probably if I cannot get my hands on a Roccat Kova+ by September I am planning to acquire the M60 and do a review of that + a hard-pad.

Wish you a quick resolution and happy gaming. Cheerio!!

Hey saw your G300 review the mouse looks perfect in my hands, but it doesn't have side buttons i'm just got addicted to those buttons and by the way i realized that mine its not actually claw grip its between Finger and claw GRIP
will def let you know if my friend gets his hands on it... Cheers!!!

Previously i used a basic Logitech mouse and to say frankly it came a long way upto 4 and half years and still have Logitech basic keyboard (currently using) which is now 7years old (color has changed though to slight yellowish from pure white :lol:)...
And damn my Ikari finally giving up on me I no more feel the left click, gaming has become difficult with it though for normal usage it works almost flawlessly.
