After being on Piv for the last 2 years finally got an oppurtunity to upgrade :hap2: ..... I enquired and finally thought about this config. PC would be mainly used for med-end gaming, VM Ware, and movies.Could u guys check and tell me whether this is OK or should add/remove/replace any other component ;) ....

Quad core 2.4 Ghz , Intel DQ35JOE, 4 GB Ram (Transcend), Coolermaster PSU 500 Watts, Not sure which cabby i could go for either coolermaster or any other brand,XFX 9600GT, 22" Viewsonic....Also thought of getting Coolermaster Hyper212 .........

Dude, if you are buying a 22'' .. you will be better off with a 4850 or even better, a 4870 if you can spend the money. Or you will have to tone down the gfx settings a bit while playing games at that resolution. Since you are going for a Mid-end, I guess that is ok. As for cabby, try getting CM Elite 330. If you can spend 4k, then get a CM690, from what I have read, its the best.

For PSU, get a Corsair VX450 ( around 3k-4k). It will easily handle the 9600gt and anything else mid-end you throw at it.
