Graphic Cards Need help overclocking BFG 6600 GT

Current status

Core: 229.25
Memory: 501.19
Temp: 57

When I play NWN 2 the temp jumps up to ~78, when I play The Movies it sits at about 65.

I haven't run anything else to test the temp.

I was wondering if it would be safe to overclock this guy at all, and if so, how?

Currently I'm running stock cooling.

Any help is appreciated.

Those clocks are 2D ..check what the default 3D clocks is.
The temps look just fine and u can definitely push that BFG more.

how do I check the 3d clocks?

I'm using the most recent version of riva tuner.

also I'm using driver 93.71, should I use an older one? I see lots of people talking about the 77.XX version.

aww crap...forgot I had a card die on me. I'm not using a BFG anymore its

afaik..what riva tuner is showing is the current core clock frequency..which is always lower in desktop(2d) mode.
the default clocks would be 500Mhz on the core during gaming.

check the default nvidia control panel from ur display properties.

It's playable, but can get bogged down when there are a lot of casters. I seem to have had better performance on version 1.00 than 1.03 but the patches do fix a lot of bugs. I currently play at 1024/768, but have all of my other graphic options off/low

I've also added a mod that fixes the AI, which to say the least is horrible when left default, and thats hampered my performance some too.

My system specs are

AMD XP 2600+
1 Gig DDR

one thing to note, if for some reason you're running a 2 processor machine, NWN2 will only use one of those processors.
