Need Help regarding shipping gadget?

hi i want to ship electronic gadget to orissa but DTDC refused it. when i call another dtdc office they quote a Rs.300 which is quite high as the whole package weights less than 200gm.How to deal with that octroi thing? Any idea guys.
 
Octroi has to be paid by the recipient. Avoid DTDC... they are thieves.

Try using TNT for shipping.

how is pafex, fedex
 
I am not sure if Orissa requires Form No. 50. And Fedex is good from what I hear. I have friends who use Fedex for international shipping.

Pafex is a sister concern of Fadex. I would vouch Pafex as they ship consignments very fast. It took mine less than 4 days to get to me from mumbai :)
 
why don't you ship it using india post, just make sure that the packing is 'bullet-proof' :P

I have sent 2 packages to Orissa using TNT recently,one of them was Iphone.They require Form 50 only if you are sending for commercial purposes.
 
new twist i contact tnt,dtdc,pafex,fedex all refused to ship electronic gadgets to orrisa WTH?
 
When ever I ship a product, I put some mark on the product to ensure that i can recognise the product in case it comes back. I copy all the unique serial numbers of electronics and their components. I maintain a record of all of these numbers and use it whenever a customer returns a product to see if the product was actually sold by me.
