Guys,

I just bought a new Dlink DSL-2750U modem cum router. I want to use my existing Buffalo WCR-GN as a repeater for this new router. Can anybody please give me step-by-step instructions on how to do so? I've tried googling for it but haven't succeeded yet in finding something that works for me...

Tried that, hasn't helped. The moment i change the IP address of my buffalo router to 192.168.1.100 so that it falls in the same subnet as my Dlink (192.168.1.1), i cant access the buffalo router...

i dont know the firmware of a buffalo router. .but i think, most of them have an option that says Use as an access point. if this option is available, you will have to switch it on.. and after doing this, if the buffalo router has an option to receive IP addresses automatically, check that so that your primary router can automatically assign an IP address to your buffalo router using DHCP.

i think i will be able to help better if i can get to see the firmware page of your router.

also check this page if it helps.. http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Wireless/How-to-setup-WCR-GN-in-bridge-mode-on-existing-network/td-p/60156

Was the buffalo router's gateway changed to dlink's ip ?

Was the subnet mask changed to 255.255.255.0.

You might have to stop dhcp server of buffalo router

Well, finally got it working. Had to use another computer though.

Set it to work as a Access point. Enabled WDS on the buffalo router. Searched for the existing connection (DLINK). Found it and saved it. Bingo! No adding any entries manually.

Thanks for all the help guys, repped!
