Need help sharing internet from USB to router

I need to share my USB internet connection ( BSNL EVDO ) to my Router ( Buffalo WCR-GN ) through LAN

I know there are specialized router available when USB data card can be directly plugged ... but i dont want to shell out 3k as my use for wifi is for just updating android apps .

I tried ICS by setting share my connection in ZTE Terminal connection [shared to LAN ] ... but i am unable to configure the modem and the LAN connection (setting static IP and all )

If anyone has tried this before , please help me on this one .
 
If you have a laptop. Connect it using ur USB inteernet device or whatever and then bridge the two network devices both the Ethernet and the wireless in your computer. Then use a Ethernet cable and route it to your wifi router. This should work I guess.
