Need help to configure a Network DVR for use with MTNL broadband.

Hi there. I have a network DVR connected to my MTNL triband internet connection.
Only trouble is, I haven't applied for a static IP. I would prefer not paying that 1000 rupees a year for static IP if there is a good alternative to it.
I tried my hand at open DNS but I am not very good at configuring network connections, hence it just doesn't work. Can someone help me please??

What DVR are you using?? What other devices are present in your network?? Could you post a brief description of your entire network?
