Need help to upgrade Dell Inspiron 1545

Hi TE'ians,

I have a DELL Inspiron 1545 laptop and desperately looking to install a Nvidia or ATI graphic card to it. Cost does not matters.

Please advise is it possible to install a card into DELL Inspiron 1545, and if it is possible where I can get it installed in Delhi?

You cant install a GPU in a laptop unless its factory fitted. Get a new laptop if u want one with discrete graphics.

The Inspiron 1545 lacked a discrete option IINM and mostly will lack a PCI-E x16 slot. Plus it would be close to impossible to find a mGPU in the Indian market.
 
No can do. The IGP is soldered on the board.

Although you can do some Google'ing and/or disassemble your laptop to see if it comes with a MXM slot. If it does, you can insert a MXM card but there's a whole lot of problems associated with the upgrade such as the expense of the card, the type of heatsink/fan compatible with the GPU, if it could fit within your laptop etc.

IMO it is not worth it.
