Laptops need help upgrading ram

i have a hp dv2210us laptop brought from the US. it has 512mbx2 ddr2 333 mhz ram. i want to upgrade to 2gb.
i wanted to know if my laptop would support faster ram, how would i know? also what ram should i buy n for how much?
 
That laptop would support a maximum of 2GB (1GBx2) PC5300 DDR2 666Mhz RAM. You can buy the RAM locally from brands like Transcend or Kingston, for the price I am not sure about the current market prices.
