Hey guys i had a weird problem today. I installed a couple of 4GB ADATA XPG 1866MHz RAM sticks on an ASUS F2A55M LK2 PLUS Motherboard which has an A4 4000 CPU. Previously i was using a single stick of G.Skill 4GB RipJawsX 1333MHz. After installing the new ADATA RAM sticks, I booted up my PC to find that the motherboard was defaulting them to 1333MHz. I went into the BIOS and changed the AUTO setting for DRAM to 1866MHz. After that the computer would not boot up. After I reset the CMOS i got it to boot up and now it is back to its default 1333Mhz frequency. Can anyone explain how to get my motherboard to use the 1866Mhz sticks at their native frequency??

ASUS says that this mobo can handle 1866MHz natively but it is not doing so!

Please advise as I want to use them at their maximum potential!

you can but it would depend on the bios options available on your mobo. For starter try raising the memoy clocks by 50 Mhz untill you find the pc is not booting .. then back down from the last used speed by 100 Mhz.
