CPU/Mobo need help with config

hi guys ..need ur help regardind the config .....
my budget is around 40k excluding the gpu..i already got xfx 6600gt pci...
cpu- amd 3000+
motherboard-??????
ram-1 gb
monitor-??????(need one which supports 1280x1024 -17`inch)
speaker-??????

KB\Mouse i`ll be using from the old rig....

Go for MSI NEo4 mobo + Twinmos 1 GB RAM. Or original D43 RAM is you can get it.

and a 17" monitor from any company like Samsung, Viewsonic, LG, Philips.

You dont need to buy a separate soundcard.

And for the speakers, try going for a 5.1 from Altec or something. I am not the best person for that. Maybe someone else who has more experience with Altec speakers can advice you.

If music is your priority, then go for the Altec MX5021. They are expensive(around 9K) but worth it.
 
I not had great expereinces with MSI so I wouldn't advise them, I suggest you stick to ASUS, get a A8N-E or A8N SLI...

The features with the Neo 4 SLI Platinum are amazing. and it comes with a Live! 24bit soundcard integrated into the mobo.

In the mobos available in India, it is one of the best. Of course, one of the drawbacks is the limit of 2.85V for the VDimm. But then, he will not need more than that if he uses standard PowerChip based twinmos RAM while oc'ing...
 
Neo 4 SLI platinum must cost upwards of 8k, he can get an A8ne and a Soundblaster live card below that price. Besides SLI is an overkill unless you are gonna actually use it.

IMHO, the MSI beats the Asus when it comes to features.....

But anyway, it is his choice in the end. We are giving him all the options.....
 
Id say go with an Asus. A8N sounds nice for you.

Get nice DDR 400 Ram 1 GB atleast and if your crazy, or plan to play FEAR a lot(which i wudnt count on) go with 2 GB. (Run it in Dual channel never the less) 512 * 2 or 1 GB * 2.

Get a Nice Samsung or LG Flatron.
 
Get the A8N-E, 3000+ Venice and TwinMOS 1GB with a nice Samsung or LG Flat CRT. This combo should cost u arnd. 26K. The SLI Neo 4 costs 9800 in Chennai ( This would increase the cost of the above combo to 29.5K ) What abt. the cabbie and PSU ???? As for the Spkrs. get the ATP3. Since u've so much to spare, get a good cabbie and PSU, maybe the Antec TX1050 which would cost 10K with a 450W Smart Power 2.0 PSU.
 
what abt the sound?? That is why I recommended the MSI Neo4 SLI PLat. Comes with Live 24 bit. but you can always buy that separately or better still, buy an Audigy 2 or something better. Or maybe an X-Fi
