[attachment=7662:13783.attach]

About 2 weeks ago i was getting 200+ kbps download speed and now i m gettin 74 Kbps

and my modem still shows 2187Kbps.i have tried to reset my modem but still its same .

Please guys i need ur help and please look at my status page of my modem

and mtnl plan i have is 749 unlimited

@OP
You should be ideally getting 200+ kBps. Did you try a speed test or try downloading something from a direct server using IDM and see what speeds it reaches. For torrents check out any heavily seeded torrent like Ubuntu.

If nothing of the above works, check whether you have parallel lines in your home and if yes then pull the plug out of all lines (for testing purpose) and just keep the current modem connected line plugged in (obviously) and then again do the above.

PS: This post written without checking DL speed of 749 plan :ashamed:

You are paying for 752 kbps and you want 2 mbps? you getting what you paid for, if you want 2mbps get the 2mbps plan which costs according to this Introduction Rs .3999 P.M

You are on 749 Plan so you are getting correct speeds

Yes IDEALLY with 749 plan one should get 752kbps(94 kBps) but in this case OP's modem is showing the downlink as 2Mbps (possibly because of the famous MTNL goofup) and he should be getting that.

@OP

Forget the downlink shown in modem, As per your plan you are getting proper speeds.

but i use to get 200+Kbps for almost 5 months and there is construction going around mtnl cable

from that day im getting less speed

and another question is my line Athenuation right or ok

Same case here bro.
I'm on MTNL 599 Unlimited @512kbps.
My modem show 2048 kbps download and 256 kbps upload. Now the upload speed is fine but download speed i'm getting is 512kbps not 2048 kbps.
I received speed of 2mbps (download speed of + 250KB/s ) for around 8-9 months, but after some time, they dropped it back to default speed but the modem settings didnt changed.

Its all from there server side and you cant do anything. If you are on 512kbps plan, then you will get speed of ~512kbps only, not more than that even if your modem shows download speed of 10mbps.

Here's my modem screenshot.

yeah, this issue is common with MTNL.

They regularly change their servers settings and due to this some, people might get increased download speed whereas someone speed is downgraded. But that's only for a day or two.

I remember i got a download speed of 4mbps (yeah its true, my modem showed 4096kbps), but that last only 4-5 hours. And also, in December, i got 2mbps downloading speed for around 2-3 days.

So, the speed up and down goes on in MTNL. Its not any issue to worry. You will get the speed as mentioned in plan.

Here's my experience, during my exam times, i used to change my internet plan to something cheap and limited bandwidth. In that case, then provided me 2mbps download speed but with a download limit of 400MB or sometimes 2GB depending on the plan i opt for. And during the end of month, i used to register for plan change to 512kbps unlimited. And for the next whole month, i used to get download speed of 2mbps.

I do this so that i can concentrate on my studies and use internet only for study purpose.But the next month was utilized completely. :)
