Graphic Cards Need help with new 8600gt

I am unable to install drivers of my new graphic card apart from those which came with my card itself(they r outdated 158. smthing.. latest is 178.24)..

it shows a blue screen error asking to remove any new hardware or software installation or to shut caching or shadowing in bios...

i m using windows vista and had previously a 6200 installed with the same driver version..

use driver cleaner to remove old drivers, then reinstall the latest drivers again.

Format the system drive, and start a new inning

re-installing the OS is always recomended when u get a new GPU

Why there is need to reinstall OS on new GPU ?????No way!!!!!!!!!

Dude you screwed up in drivers, clean your old drivers and install latest available.

take my advise dont install the 178.24 drivers they are really buggy and cause bsod
