Need help with wifi.

Hey guys,

I have BSNL EVDO USB internet connected to my desktop. I get good speeds and am very happy with this. Now, what I want to do is get this internet "on the air via wifi" so my Android phone can access this internet.

Now, if I get this...

EDUP Mini Wireless N 11n Wi-Fi Nano USB Adapter Dongle WiFi
EDUP Mini Wireless N 11n Wi-Fi Nano USB Adapter Dongle WiFi | eBay

OR

TP-Link 150Mbps Wireless USB Adapter, TL-WN727N, TPLink WiFi, 3 Years Warranty

If I get this and connect it to one of my USB ports on the desktop, can I transmit the internet on my desktop (coming via BSNL EVDO) into wifi signal so my Android phone can access it ? In the description of the above products, it's written that with this, I can access any wifi signal already present, so in layman terms, these are "wifi receivers" Will they transmit a wifi signal to be received by my Android smartphone ?

If these are not what I need, can you guys link me to what I need ?

Would really appreciate any input in this :)

Thanx a lot in advance guys. Desperately waiting for a reply :)

instead of buying any router, I would suggest you use something like connnectify (it's a free software) ....this makes a Virtual Access Point for you and you can either use it as a local LAN without internet or with internet :D

Wow guys, thanx a lot for all the info. Really appreciate it :D

And Thanx kartikoli and jituthejeet for your suggestions. Both of these are sounding quite interesting but am leaning towards saving money and getting dongle, coz my computer is on at least 12 to 15 hours each day, so yeah :)

By the way kartikoli, can you tell me which dongle or adapter you use with mhotspot ?

Edit: kartikoli dude, when I was downloading mhotspot from its official website, my ESET showed the below attached warning. Is that a false positive ?

its false positive. I prefer v3 as there are no adds where as latest version will show adds
Posting through my mobile using evdo wifi connection :D

I am using old zte modem

Nice. Even I have the very old ZTE modem :P

By the way dude, previously when I said "dongle or adapter you use" I meant which WIFI dongle or adapter you use ? Or do you have a laptop ?

Also, I'll try searching for v3 on google. Will let you know :) And by the way, do you think that "EDUP Mini Wireless" is good ? It's just 379 on ebay in that link :) What would you recommend :)

Edit: Dude, just saw in the "What's New" section at the mhotspot website, and it says in this latest version "No more ADS" So, have you tried the v5.4 version ?

i have rosewill wifi usb dongle but i think netgear, tplink etc. should work well. if you need V3 or 4 then let me know will upload
